eDemocracy DAO will regularly convene “best practice” democratic processes on questions or issues of public concern. These could, for example, include;

Members will propose and vote on the topics of these processes be conducted.

The goal of each eDemocracy process will be to create a Democratic Mandate for government officials - both elected officials and bureaucrats - in a given jurisdiction to undertake legislative action.

The Campaign Guild will act in a manner similar to a full-service client, focused on the success of a specific process. The Campaigns Guild will work closely with the Decisions Guild, which will handle the execution of an eDemocracy process once it is initiated.

Best of Practice Democracy

eDemocracy processes will guided by the principle that democratic mandates are based on consensus-oriented decision processes. Those processes will be facilitated in the aggregation stage by Ethelo scenario analysis but they will rely upon a wide array of collaborative and dialogic processeses aimed at building ideas, understanding and agreement.

Plebiscites will not simply be votes, or polls, but rather multi-stage deep democracy processes that end in a clear, specific direction to goverment. Plebiscites will include;

It is recognized that many public processes will pertain to specific jurisdictions. When deciding to undertake a Plebiscite a decision will be made about the jurisdiction and the focus of the effort will be to engage people in that geographic area.
